If shopping/gai-gai-ing is an Olympic Event, Catbury will get gold, and I’ll get silver.
Can you imagine we actually walked from Clark Quay Mrt to Timberlux Centre (15mins), then back to Liang Court, Clark Quay again, then North Bridge Road? And THEN, Peninsular Plaza, Raffle City, City Link, and finally, Marina Square?! I raised my white flag there, at 730pm after 6 hours of walking.
We’re actually kinda broke yesterday, so we decided to just walk around, absorb the atmosphere, look see look see. Too bad we didn’t get to see any exhibition when we went to some galleries.
Timberlux Flea Market was fine. My only grouse was that the place was not well-lit enough, and it appears that they have no power supply at all, hence no aircon, unlike last year.
I quite like the range of merchandise there, but I wished there’s more bags. I love bags. I wish I could’ve bought any shoes I like there. I love shoes.
I wished I could’ve bought that Suede, Faye Wong and Radiohead albums I saw. Shit I’m kinda really regretting already. I only bought a sandals for $5, which I totally regret buying. And another Tan colour shoulder bag for $8, which I can’t wait to use!
I wished there wasn’t so many stalls selling the same cinched-waist-rubber-belt-with-vintage-clip. It’s like, too many too many! And frankly they all look rather nondescript after a while. Somehow, the accessories don’t appeal to me anymore. You know those necklaces with many pendant-charms on them? Yea, everyone knows how to make one, why would they wanna buy from you?
All in all, it’s was rather fun and the people there are really nice and smiley.
Next when we were walking around Cityhall, I happened to see Becca’s workplace and I just popped in to say hello. Stupid me, when I said Hi to her, I just smiled silly-ly at her, kinda forgetting to introduce myself. I only realised when I notice she had this, “Erh?!” expression on her face!
Anyway, I’m kinda surprise that Voting day is so quiet and normal like any Saturday. Cept the buses are not as crowded as compared to usual Saturdays lah. Isn’t there supposed to be some fight, fire, riots, strikes and cheating going on? Prob not, but at least a traffic jam lah!
Okay, before I go, my heart belongs to Workers’ Party, win or lose. Night peeps.
