Yesterday was many of a first.
I had my first Nonya meal in a newly opened restaurent near Spottiswood Park. It was nice, like really good homecooked food.
Unbelievably (cos I’m itching to go out), I stayed in the office, worked on the freelance project till 6. And then I bused down to Chinatown, with only the intention of buying some fabric. The textile uncles there looked really unfriendly and intimidating, so I ended up not getting anything cos I didn’t really wanna walk into their shop at all.
But the “Auntie” was really nice, and I ended up sourcing for my own business, using the money I just earned back the day before. And now I’m quite broke again. Duh.
Now I’m on my own, gotta do what I need to do, want to do, my way to do, my own things. It’s a shiok feeling, selecting the merchandise myself, not having to consult another person, not getting rebutted cos of different preference.
Like, Woo hoo.
Anyway, after spending over a hundred on the merchandise, 65bucks on a new specs, I trained down to Dhoby Ghaut to check out the Great Singapore Sales.
And then I bumped into some classmates & friends, and we shopped a little together, and I totally unleashed my inner monster. I bought a pair of shoes for 30 and a bag at 26. Not bad a bargain. But I was supposed to buy some clothes.
Shit.
Don’t screw up.

Say, are you able to give me details of that restaurant at Spottiswoode Park? Sounds interesting!

Eh, I forgot the name of the restaurent, but it’s Nonya something something.. Heard the owner is in the theatre business.
It’s right opposite SGH carpark, along that row of shophouses.
