A lovely fucked up of another culture’s style.

I mean, look at British colonial architecture, European chinoiserie motif, peranakan decor… Look at Stefani’s L.A.M.B influenced Japonism even.

It’s not entirely zen, it’s not entirely asian, it’s not entirely pop art. It’s modern, but yet antiqued. It’s minimal, yet infused.

The Scandinavians/Japanese made it worked cos they found their true identity. It has substance, style, quality. I’m not just inferring to design; it’s a lifestyle. Cliche, but they live and breathe it. Even if it’s old-skool, they’re proud of it.

We used to be a melting pot of various cultures, but now we are a melting pot of steel. For yet more skyscrapers. To be global, yet have no identity ourselves.

While you still can, go to some old-skool street around town, and take some photographs. Some people will eventually mess with our old historic buildings and build some steel condo on the backside of the house.

I want a lovely fuck up, not a steel amalgamation.

Have you ever felt constant pins and needles between the joints and tips of your fingers/toes? The itch is under your skin. Scratching, moving the digits, pressing the tip of the nails helps to relieve the urge, but is no definite cure for this restlessness.

I remember my mum used to smack me cos I threw “leg-tantrums”.

Call me strange, at this age, I still experience it on a daily basis. Even worse, it only affects me when I realize I’m feeling restless. Can you imagine how unbearable it is, especially during those time-wasting assembly sessions in pri/sec school days?

Speaking of school, I dreamt about oversea school trip last night. Again. Even dreams can be boring.

I wanted to write an entry. It didn’t flow, so let’s just sum things up in one sentence,

“Why my room so small(smallest); things so many; and dust so much?!”

I was painting the walls in my room with primer. The more I paint, the more angry I became.

But it is not the primer.

Do you really give a flying fuck about how I was? Oh wait, I remember that’s only a conversation starter, you are actually more interested to talk about yourself, your life, the things you have, the things you’re after. Just because I’m more of a listener than a speaker doesn’t mean I want to hear you babble.

You know, it’s really freaky when most of your dreams revolves around the same theme for two/three months.
